The annual festival featured an incredible batch of bands, including Metallica, Marilyn Manson and Linkin Park. In case you weren’t in the Nürburg area during the 2012 edition of the legendary gathering, some seriously awesome pro-shot footage has surfaced online.

Metallica played yet another rocking musical evening with fans swaying to the band’s beat at Rock am Ring, headlining the second day of the fest. After a day filled with bands such as Refused, Shinedown and Mastodon, Metallica closed the night with classic tracks like ‘Master of Puppets,’ ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ and ‘One,’ among many others. Marilyn Manson made his presence felt at the German festival. Pro-shot footage of the shock rock icon is now available for your viewing pleasure, featuring the first three songs from Manson’s performance. Check out footage of ‘Hey Cruel World,’ ‘Personal Jesus’ and ‘Antichrist Superstar’ below.

Linkin Park headlined the third and final day of Rock am Ring, closing out the insanity with a massive performance. The band even took some time to pay tribute to the late, great Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch by integrating the Beastie Boys classic ‘Sabotage’ into the ‘Minutes to Midnight’ track ‘Bleed it Out.’ The Rock am Ring footage also consists of Linkin Park performing ‘Numb’ and the new single ‘Burn it Down.’
