Tricky Falls celebrate 5 years of bringing amazing live shows to El Paso this weekend. Meet the people that drive her!

Tricky Falls has brought show, after show, to downtown El Paso. Behind it all, are 4 hard - core, music and El Paso loving individuals. You met Bobbie and Luis in part 1 of this blog now; meet Gabe Gonzalez and Jim Ward.

Gabe:

Played in Spindrift in the early 90s, took care of Front Of House duties and broadcast for At The Drive In and was a touring member of Sparta and Sleepercar. With those, he toured and shared stages with White Zombie, Fugazi, Deftones, Bad Religion, Coldplay, Weezer, Pearl Jam and more. They also played festivals like Redding, Fuji Fest and Big Day Out. His TV credits include the Late, Late Show, Carson Daley, Conan Obrien and the Tonight show. He's also recorded with Sparta, Girl in a Coma, Jason Boland and the Stragglers and Defacto.

Jim:

Jim Ward is an El Paso legend and one of the premier proponents of both El Paso and it's local music scene. He founded At The Drive In, (which The Mars Volta sprung from), Sparta and Sleepercar and has done soooo much more. Gabe has worked with Jim, as you can see by his bio above, in several bands and they share those experiences. Off stage, in addition to Tricky Falls, Jim is also involved with Bowie Feathers, Tembloroso and Eloise.

So, yeah. As you can see, Tricky Falls' success is very much the sum of it's parts. Musicians, promoters, bar owners/managers and PR peeps, each with a mountain of experience and knowledge, all rolled into the 4 people that keep Tricky Falls rockin'. Add to that an amazing staff and, it's pretty clear why TF remains El Paso's premiere live events venue. Help celebrate 5 years of madness this weekend, (8/19-20), and get ready for many, many more!!
