Red Sun Rising played El Paso this weekend and, a handful of lucky KLAQ winners got to see a private, acoustic performance by them.

Red Sun Rising rocked Tricky Falls this weekend along with Bad Flower and Pop Evil. Sunday afternoon, before the show, they stopped at Star City Studios for a special performance. (Which will also be posted here very soon!)

The Akron Ohio based group build their music on a wide variety of influences which, according to them, ranges from bands like Tool, A Perfect Circle and Alice In Chains to Otis Redding and pretty much everything in between. Their album, "Polyester Zeal", earned them a unique spot in rock history when it became one of the first debut albums ever to see 2 songs go to number 1 on the charts. The third single, "Amnesia", appears to be headed there as well!
