Actor and "Maze Runner" star Dylan O'Brien has been severely injured after being hit by a car on the set of the sequel, "The Death Cure."

24 year-old actor Dylan O'Brien suffered multiple injuries in a stunt gone wrong on the et of the sequel to the dystopian science-fiction hit "The Maze Runner." O'Brien plays Thomas in the movie inspired by William Golding's 1954 classic Lord of the Flies. 

According to Deadline, O'Brien fell off the back of a set made to look like the back of a train. When he fell, he fractured his cheekbone or orbital socket when he landed on his face. The actor was rushed to the hospital for treatment after the scene went wrong. The accident happened on the movie set, which is being filmed in British Columbia.

Movie production will halt while O'Brien recovers from his injuries. O'Brien also stars in the MTV series "Teen Wolf" but the show is on hiatus currently. Thomas O'Brien's publicist assured fans yesterday that the actor will make a full recovery from the accident.
