The El Paso Downtown Street Festival is this Friday July 1st and Saturday July 2nd.  Hinder is the main band performing on Friday, so the KLAQ Morning Show had the opportunity to interview Mark King from Hinder.  During the interview we find out that Mark is from Oklahoma and we find out how he became a member of the band.

"I worked at a recording studio at the time and I was mixing a Mariachi band , I had no idea what I was doing when Cody called "Hey Dude we're jamming, if you want to come out."  I was yeah, I'll do that."

Mark also talks about how their smash hit "Lips of an Angel" got covered by a country artist.

"It was very flattering, but I wasn't the biggest fan.  I won't lie,but the fact that he did it was pretty awesome."
