Man Ends Up In Hospital, After Chugging a Quart of Eggnog

Company holiday parties can get a little crazy. One Lehi, Utah man competed in a eggnog chugging contest during his festivities, and ended up with double lung pneumonia.

Ryan Roche took on the eggnog challenge, and won a $50 gift card. Unfortunately, he also ended up with a three day battle with double lung pneumonia, “It’s one of those things where your competitiveness gets the best of you and now I look like an idiot, right?” said Roche.

Now, after two weeks of recovering and as Christmas Day approaches, Ryan and his wife, Emily are thankful he has successfully recovered. As for Ryan enjoying some eggnog on Christmas day, “People ask me, `Are you ever going to drink eggnog again?` Maybe someday I`ll venture out and have a sip.”
