Halestorm have made their name in rock over the past few years, but in 2014, frontwoman Lzzy Hale jumped out of the genre and introduced the band's fans to a tremendous new talent by the name of Lindsey Stirling. The violinist first came to attention as a quarterfinalist on 'America's Got Talent' in 2010 and she reached out to Hale to lend vocals to the monster single 'Shatter Me' that came out earlier this year.

The 'Shatter Me' video, which can be seen at the bottom of this post, is closing in on 20 million views on YouTube and Stirling's 'Shatter Me' album went on to sell 56,000 copies in its first week, largely bolstered by the Stirling and Hale collaboration.

Plenty of fans have given the song a "thumbs up" on Pandora, and a few of the fans recently got a surprise as part of Pandora's #ThumbMoments campaign. As seen in the clip above, moments after giving Stirling a thumbs up they got a live, one-on-one concert over video chat. Fans were allowed to control the background as Lindsey and her band offered an instrumental version of 'Shatter Me.' Check it out in the player above.

At present, Stirling is continuing to support her 'Shatter Me' album. You can pick it up via Amazon and iTunes. Check out Stirling's tour dates here. Meanwhile, Halestorm are in the process of completing their next studio album. It's expected in 2015. And the band is also spending plenty of time on tour this fall. Check out their shows here.
