Morning Show producer Brandon is doing something he calls 30 Days of Horror, in which he watches a different horror movie each day during the month of October. The reason it's not 31 days is because he still thinks he has enough of a social life that he'll have something else to do on Halloween night. I think he's being overly optimistic. But, since Brandon is still crashing at my casa, I'm pretty much doing 30 Days of Horror, too. We watched The Babadook on Friday, and it was pretty good. I'll go so far as to recommend it if you haven't seen it already.

Some of our listeners are in on the 30 Days of Horror party and have shared their lists with us. First, he's a longtime listener and one of my favorite e-mailers, Stevie J. and the list he and his wife compiled:

Great list, Stevie! It's got some can't-miss classics like The Shining and Friday the 13th. It throws in some from the silent screen era with Nosferatu. Then the month finishes strong with what I think is still the scariest movie ever made, The Exorcist, followed by a masterpiece in Halloween and THEN they finish the month with a more recent film that holds its own against these classics in The Conjuring.

Next, listener Connie Dominguez sent her list for us to peruse.

What's interesting about Connie's 30 Days of Horror is that she says she watches the same movies every year. On weekends she tries to double up and, she says, the Saturday before Halloween she makes it kids day with stuff that's OK for the young'uns to watch.
