When did the band get together, and how?

We got together February of 2010 with the intention of being a cover band but Loowie then threw a tantrum while explaining to everyone he had a trove of original songs already written out. We went the original song route instead and have added a couple of cover songs here and there. So far we have at least 25 songs to our name.

How would you describe your music to someone?

It is a revitalization of all the goodness of grunge and 70's rock and roll. We sing about heartbreaks, aliens, homeless veterans, pirates, serial killers and seasons. Give us a topic and we'll make a song about it.

Who are some of the bands that influence your music?

Nirvana. Tito and Tarantula. Red Hot Chili Peppers. Tom Petty. Beatles. Radiohead. Pearl Jam. Ramones.

What is your most memorable gig so far?

We played at the MIKEN softball tournament in Yuma, AZ. They had us playing on top of the concession stand behind homeplate as the games were being played. That was a great little town to play even if the bar and grill we played at the night before got our name wrong on the marquee, falsely naming us Rock Lava. They weren't alone as the MIKEN folk labeled us as LaveSnake on the tournament T-shirts. It's all good, we were a young band at the time. With time our bandname will be worth remembering.

Are you currently signed to any kind of label or management?

No label yet but we are busting ass to help put the El Paso music scene on the map. We do manage ourselves under our LSM moniker.

What other bands have your members been/are in?

This is mine and Sauls first band. The Reverend has probably been in the most bands including (sexual cheeze, the wankers, the monstrikeys, Nightmare squad, Gods Funeral, Sicteens....to name a few). Omar is the ex-bass player of Wednesday and Attempted Urns.

What other local bands would you recommend people check out?

We've played with a lot of talented local musicians. May we recommend Hip City, Low Luster League, Gods Funeral, Biscuit Roller, Fixed Idea, Steady Shakedown, Revati, Mal Tercio, Los DeAmbulantes, MexKlan, Vagiant, Ralpheene and Bitchface.

Where can people contact you to book you for shows?
