High profile suicides like those of Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington and, most recently, Jill Janus of Huntress have brought this subject before just about everyone.

First, if you or someone you know is feeling suicidal, please get help!! One of the quickest and most direct ways to find help is the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. (AFSP)  You can call them anytime at 1-800-273-TALK, text the word TALK to 741741 or, visit their website.

Here in the El Paso area, contact the Emergency Health Network or call either of these numbers:

(915) 779-1800

(877) 562-6467

Several "Out Of The Darkness" walks have been arranged to benefit the AFSP and one is coming to Las Cruces Saturday, 9/8/18. It's at Young Park and starts at 10:00am. Half of the money raised at this particular walk will be used for mental health awareness and suicide prevention measures in Las Cruces. If you would like to register or make a donation, click here.

"Ghost" by Badflower has helped bring attention to this subject and now, here is your chance to help as well. Please do!
