Korn's bass player is being, (temporarily), replaced by a 12-year-old kid with lotsa chops and a famous Dad!

Everything is cool between Korn and their bassist Fieldy but he won't be a part of Korns' South American tour. In his place will be Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo's son, Tye. Korn made the announcement on their Facebook page, writing:

Korn is heading down to South America for a run of dates in Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy is unable to make the shows so the band will be joined by a special guest. Filling in for bass duties will be Tye Trujillo, the 12-year old son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and member of NorCal group The Helmets. Says the band, “We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye.

Fieldy rejoins Korn in May. Tye's only 12 but, he and his band The Helmets have already done some pretty big shows. He's a total clone of his dad too, watch 'em rock together at last years Bottlerock Festival!
