KLAQ’s Most Adoptable Pets of the Week
This week’s featured pets come from the Humane Society of El Paso. They will be offering half-off pet adoptions this Labor Day holiday. Both the Animal Shelter and the Humane Society will be offering the half-off deal. Dogs and cats, four months of age or older, will be available for adoption for $60 on Monday, September 3rd. The fee includes spay/neuter services, microchip with registration, age-appropriate vaccinations and rabies certificate.
Twinkie is an Australian Cattle dog (Blue Heeler) Mix. She was probably born on the streets, and has never known the warmth of a home or a loving family. She’s waiting for someone who can understand her situation and be patient with her. With some patience and understanding, Twinkie can become the loving girl she really wants to be. I have a heeler mix rescue and she’s the smartest, most loving, dog. She’s up-to-date with routine shots. Go meet Twinkie, she may be just the pal you are looking for.
Star is a domestic short hair cat. She’s a sweet girl who likes other cats. She’s a little shy at first, but once she gets comfortable, she likes to play. Star was brought in with her sister, Bug Bugg, so she’s a little sad about being separated from her. This little girl is house trained and is up to date with routine shots. I know you can’t replace Bug Bugg, but you can give her a forever home.
Pet adoptions can be made at the Animal Shelter, 5001 Fred Wilson, from 10:30 am to 6 pm on Labor Day. Call the Humane Society, 4991 Fred Wilson, at 532-6971 for their adoption hours.
