KLAQs 2013 Events Recap

It has definitely been quite the year. We've had such great events. Hung out with some old friends and made some new ones on the way. Things could only get better in 2014. 

So we've covered Q-Rotica, Balloonfest and the Downtown Street Festival. There are still some awesome events left to cover like the Mexican Food Cook Off and KLAQs BBQ.

The Mexican Food Cook Off took place on August 3rd and 4th at the Cleveland Square Park Downtown. There was a large variety of restaurants and Chefs competing for Best Mexican Food in El Paso - categories: tacos, enchiladas, open dish. There were loads of vendors, food trucks and let me tell you, I always look forward to this event because I just love Mexican food!! Saturday the Folkclorico Dance Championships came back and a full line up of Mariachi Bands on Sunday for the Annual Rock 'N Roll Mariachi Competition. Check out the photos here.

The 28th annual KLAQ BBQ took place Monday, September 2nd at Western Playland with Filter and Hoobastank. The music, the rides, the sweets, the people, the food and of course ... the rain. can't forget the rain. But although it poured, it was you El Paso that just proved to us what awesome rock and rollers we all are!! Check out the Meet n Greet photos here. Here are some more awesome photos from BBQ.

But of course, let's not leave out the remotes with your favorite DJs, the parties, the contests, the Sunland Park Casino races, Taste of El Paso, the River Raft Race, KLAQ Haunted Warehouse, the concerts and the last party of the year tonight at Club Lotus!!

All in all ... get ready for 2014. Its going to be bigger, better and its going to rock!!
