Don't you hate the phrase "supergroup"? It's been used so many times, even when you had no idea who the members of the group were. But the band Kill Devil Hill (great Bruce Dickinson song, by the way) says they aren't a supergroup, they're just some guys that like to play together and make music. I'm cool with that.

The band DOES feature some big names in it, Rex Brown (Down/Pantera) and Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell), and you'll know the name Dewey Bragg (from El Paso metallers Pissing Razors fame). Their self-titled CD came out this past May, and they've been doing some touring and other things for it, and Dewey has also been doing double-duty in local band Years of Cold! The new YoC CD is due out this October, so be on the lookout for that, too! See, support your local bands, they could always end up getting successful and you might get on their guest lists! HAHA!

I recently got to spend a few minutes with Mat and Dewey from Years of Cold before the Hellyeah show, and they spoke about their new music, Dewey's Kill Devil Hill experiences and more. You can check that out here.

The band had recently released this cool mini-documentary on the beginning of the band and the music, how they came together and where they're going. Check it out, it's only about eleven minutes. Enjoy!
