Kentucky Representative Says Wives Must Approve Viagra Usage

Kentucky Representative Mary Lou Marzian (Democrat) has introduced House Bill 396, forcing men to get notes from their wives before using erectile dysfunction drugs.

An article at MSN.com quotes Marzian as saying she wants to "protect these men from themselves” and that “This is about family values.” Her (proposed) bill also:

require(s) that someone seeking Viagra, Cialis, Levitra or Avanafil “make a sworn statement with his hand on a Bible that he will only use a prescription for a drug for erectile dysfunction when having sexual relations with his current spouse.”

Wait, she's got more. Another bill she's proposing "require(s) gun buyers to get counseling from victims of gun violence 24 hours ahead of a firearms purchase." Marzian says she's:

“just making sure the government is taking care of your safety.”

Yeah, she's not making me feel any safer at all. You?
