Katy confirmed the exciting info with her own Twitter post!
3 AMA'S & SUPER BOWL?! Not long ago I was playing guitar on the streets of Santa Barbara for maybe 20 bucks a day & an avocado. Wow, life!

I think those NFL people made a great choice in choosing Katy, because she appeals to both men and women, and children love her crazy character too! Some people will probably disagree, but these pop acts have been stepping up their performances. Last year, Bruno Mars killed it will some help from The Red Hot Chili Pepper, and people still complained about that.
Don’t bash the girl just yet, she has some rock influence in her roots, and does put on great shows. I’m not just saying this because I am a huge Katy Perry fan. I’ve seen most of her performance, thanks to YouTube, and thinks she does a great job at bring a unique experience to the fans.
This video of her performing “I Kissed A Girl” dressed as a football player, on a giant chapstick is one of my favorites. The 30-year-old pop star is famous for a reason, and many people will find out on this Super Bowl Sunday!
