Judas Priest’s Rob Halford Speaks Out About “Heterosexual Pride Day”

 Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford isn't thrilled with the creation of "Heterosexual Pride Day" in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  City officials recently gave the third Sunday in December the designation, which the rocker is calling a "childish" idea.  Halford says there's a need for an annual "Gay Pride Day," because the gay community does not have the same protections under the law as straight people.  The rocker, who came out more than ten years ago, explains that gay people are "an oppressed minority" who "need to have a voice."  Rob adds that once society is willing to extend equal rights and equal protections to those in the gay community, the need for a "Gay Pride Day" would diminish, and the event would likely go away.
