Judas Priest says its farewell "Epitaph" tour won't be the last that the world hears of the band.  In a statement, the rockers reiterate that while "Epitaph" is Priest's final major tour, it won't mark "the end" of the band itself.  In fact, Priest has a new album in the works.  The band's members say when the tour wraps, they'll still consider the occasional one-off concert.  The rockers explain that an earlier press release emphasizing the "farewell" aspects of the tour has confused fans.
Judas Priest's "Epitaph" trek is currently under way.  The rockers are headed for North America this fall.  Stateside concerts begin on October 12th, with a show in San Antonio, Texas.  Thin Lizzy is confirmed as a supporting act on select dates for the trek.
