Is This The Nickname for El Paso’s New Baseball Team?

The Monster got the word from a source who claims to have an inside look at some of the gear for El Paso's new Triple-A baseball team -- AND its logo! Is it real? Is it a red herring from the team?

Word is that Mountain Star Sports Group's advertising agency, Mithoff-Burton Partners, has been very thorough in protecting the identity of the team which will move into the new ballpark being built on the site of El Paso's old City Hall..

According to ABC7, that protection includes websites, Twitter and Instagram accounts for...all five nickname finalists! Darn you, Mithoff-Burton!

But here's a picture of the El Paso Chihuahuas, allegedly taken of a tee shirt that arrived just this morning.

At any rate, we'll know for certain this afternoon.
