Juarez, the "murder capitol of the world" has had quite a PR problem these last few years. Are those days past?

Juarez was once a rockin' party town.  The history books say, during prohibition, it was THE place because you could get booze there.  In the 50's and 60's, it was a Mexican Vegas with Hollywood stars zipping in and out for quickie divorces and party central in the 70's and 80's for tons of peeps.  (All the peeps not yet old enough to drink!)

In the late 90's and early 2000's I loved partying in the rock and metal bars.  They reminded me of pictures and films I've seen of the 70's punk clubs in New York and London. Small, dark, dank and crowded as hell.  Where the bands were loud as F*** and $1.50 got you a 24-32oz jack n coke that was half jack!

Is Juarez once again safe to party in?

Murders everyday, right out in front of everyone, people trapped in their own homes out of fear and the police and government unable to do a damn thing about it.

Now, some seem to feel that the worst is over and it's party time again.
