All the credit for this goes to a sharp-eyed listener who we will call "Anonymous" who wrote in to the MoSho:

Hi Buzz,

So my friend and I are sitting at our office at work and reading on the guy who got arrested in San Antonio for the home invasion here in El Paso... she googles his name and there is an article of a 24 year old missing from Atlanta. We look at the picture and it looks like the same guy!!

OK, here's what's going on: Last week a 24 year old man named Gerald Dunn, was arrested in San Antonio and extradited back to El Paso. Mr. Dunn is suspected in a break-in near Rim Road where an elderly couple and their caretaker were assaulted and robbed at knife point.

Here's the mug-shot of the suspect, Mr. Dunn.

Now, here's the story about the missing student: Family members notified Atlanta police that Gerald Levert Dunn was missing. The 24 year-old graduate of Morehead College was planning to attend medical school in the fall.

Same name and same age, ok? Here's the picture of Gerald Levert Dunn, the aspiring doctor:

And, here are the pictures side by side.

Is this the same guy? I'm going out on a limb and assuming it is. How did a college graduate set to go to med school end up robbing a home in El Paso?

Well, just to add more confusion, "Anonymous" found another story about the missing Atlanta man.

In summary, the story says that Gerald Levert Dunn was found by police at a homeless shelter in Santa Monica California in late June. That means that, assuming we're dealing with the same person, he went missing from Atlanta, turned up in a homeless shelter 2,000 miles away and then a couple weeks later was in El Paso to commit the alleged robbery.

Also, that last story adds the new element that Dunn had played college basketball while at Morehouse.
