This is a huge night in the NBA. First, The Golden State Warriors could make NBA history by winning their 73rd game of the season. That would surpass the season record of 72-10 back in ’96. AND, at 73-9, it would make the Warriors the first team to finish the season with fewer than 10 losses.

That’s such a big deal that Kobe Bryant’s final game in the NBA has been bumped to ESPN2. I thought we’d show Kobe some love with a list of amazing facts about Black Mamba.

.) Kobe is named after the beef. His parents saw it on a menu and thought it sounded cool.

.) Kobe is the youngest player to start and NBA game. He was 18 years and 158 days.

.) His first words on meeting Michael Jordan were “You know, I can kick your butt one-on-one.”

.) He’s the third highest scorer in NBA history only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone have more points.

.) He was the first guard to be drafted right out of high school.

.) He’s the only player in NBA history with 30,000 points, 6,000 assists and 6,000 rebounds.

.) He’s played 20 seasons, all of them with the Lakers. No one else has played that many seasons with the same team.

.) He tried to be launch a rap career in 1998. It didn’t work out and an album was never released. But, here’s the first single called K.O.B.E., which featured Trya Banks.   What??
