Everyone knows that 50 Shades of Grey has been a huge success at the box office, but now the adult website Pornhub is letting us know what searches have gone up since the grey tie was knotted.

Pornhub Insights looked up the specific search terms on the website that increased after the movie came out. Here are some of the most increased searches on Pornhub:

BDSM - + 42%
Dominate - + 40%
Flogging - + 33%
Chains - + 30%
Rope - + 20%
Dominatrix - + 19%
Whip - + 19%
Handcuff - + 18%
Spanking - + 16%
Bondage - + 14%

Master - + 7%
Punish - + 6%
Leather - + 5%

Submission plays a huge role in the books and movie for "50 Shades," and it seems many women were intrigued by the idea and wanted to look more into it. Other popular search terms were BDSM and flogging, but both terms could also be just simple curiosity. As I was writing this, I had to look up exactly what BDSM stood for. According to the Urban Dictionary, it is an overlapping abbreviation for Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadism and Masochism. The last three words listed: master, punish and leather, are also three of the most common terms used in the 50 Shades of Grey book.
