El Paso will soon have a "House Of Peace" in the northeast for female veterans.  They need your help though!

According to a statement from the Hope Institute:

H.O.P.E Institute (H.I) will facilitate the transition from dependency to self-sufficiency for the female Veterans of El Paso County who need a place to call home! We will debut El Paso’s first House of Peace (HoP) located at 5020 Rutherford Dr. 79904. Please join us in this collaborative community effort to put an action plan in place to give back to those who have given so selflessly for us!

The home will provide a place for female veterans to live, gain an education and receive employment training.  It was supposed to open in November but the grand opening has repeatedly pushed back because they don't have all the equipment they need.

Instead of doing the usual benefit bike run, The Forgotten Renegades Motorcycle Club is asking everyone in the El Paso area, biker or not, to help.  Please either donate 1 or 2 of the following items or get your friends and/or co-workers together to raise the money to buy these much needed items.

No money and no friends?  No problem!  They also need people who are willing to donate their time to assemble and install some of these items or to offer their technical talents helping with plumbing, electrical, masonry and IT issues!

The veterans living in the home will tend to it, everything else is ALL VOLUNTEER.  (Currently, there are no plans to ever have any paid staff.)

To make a donation, or to learn more, contact Stifler @ 241-8459 or Rattler @ 500-9001.

  • 8 twin beds  .. 10 folding chairs .. 8 night stands .. 2 6' tables

  • 2 fiberglass showers .. 4 printers .. 2 toilets .. 1 copier
