With weather like we are having, why not a warm drink to get the blood pumping.These drinks can be made using cheap liquor leftover from the holidays. (you know you have some)

Lets start off simple

Baileys and Coffee  

Makes 1 serving

2 oz Bailey’s
6 Oz of your Favorite Coffee
Sweeten to taste
Cold or Hot its amazing!

Tequila Hot Chocolate

Makes 3 servings

¼  cup cocoa powder
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 pinch salt ( yes salt !)
3 cups milk
4 ozs milk chocolate chips
4 ozs chocolate chips (bittersweet)
4 ozs tequila
2 ozs peppermint schnapps
whipped cream
In medium saucepan, stir cocoa with sugar and salt.( yes salt !!)
Stir in milk, milk chocolate, and bittersweet chocolate.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly,
until chocolate is melted and mixture is hot.
Gently whisk to completely mix . Add tequila and peppermint schnapps.
Divide into serving cups and top with whipped cream

 

Spiked Apple Cider  

makes 1 serving

1/2 cup apple cider
1 tsp honey or agave nectar
1 cinnamon stick
1 oz of your favorite whisky (Jack, Johnny, Crown or any leftover stuff)
1 teaspoon of lemon juice (freshly squeezed) (save lemon)
Small lemon peel
Heat the apple cider, honey, cinnamon stick, and lemon peel in a
small saucepan over medium heat,
stirring until the honey has melted and the cinnamon is fragrant,
about 3 minutes.
Turn off the heat, add Whisky and the lemon juice, and stir to combine.
Transfer to a heatproof glass and garnish with the
cinnamon stick and lemon peel.
