Here’s the History of October’s Favorite Meme, ‘Happy Jack: Grave Dancer’

Today marks the start of some people's favorite month -- October! It's a month that includes breast cancer awareness, brings on multiple pumpkin spice items and ends with Halloween. One meme that you will constantly see this month is Happy Jack!

"Happy Jack: The Grave Dancer" was created back in 2006 when a 10 p.m. anchor of the Omaha CW affiliate KXVO needed an idea to fill time for a Halloween themed show. After many ideas were thrown around, the great people of Omaha CW went with the pumpkin-wearing, dancing anchor.

The video didn't gain popularity till 2009 but still lives on with the start of October.
