Here’s How “The Incredibles 2″ Connects to “Monsters, Inc.”
THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT "THE INCREDIBLES 2" SO IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, LOOK AWAY!
I recently went to see "The Incredibles 2." My nephews went with me, but I think we all know that the movie was not for them, it was for us! My nephews weren't even born when the first one came out! I did my share of waiting, fourteen years! But, it was totally worth the wait! So, here's for the spoilers so last chance to look away!
"The Incredibles 2" picks RIGHT UP where the first film ends. As the film progresses, we learn that little Jack Jack has a BUNCH of new powers! Which includes laser beams, teleportation and turning into this demon baby! Well, a Tumblr user named Kriptxn used this theory that possibly links "The Incredibles 2" with "Monsters, Inc."
Translation: What if Jack-Jack, during one of those times when he was discovering his power to cross to other dimensions, arrived in the Monsters, Inc. dimension, flew over that monster, and destroyed a car with his laser beam eyes?
All of it makes sense! Because upon watching "Monsters, Inc." last night, I noticed that Boo could not be the one they're describing because Boo is inside the restaurant the WHOLE time! It's possible that the hysteria in Monstropolis made all the monsters BELIEVE they saw that, but also, it was TOTALLY Jack Jack who they saw.
