The KLAQ Haunted Forest opens to the public on Thursday, Oct. 1, but the Morning Show crew got a sneak peek on Tuesday night, and let me tell you: It's terrifying (but in a totally awesome way).

I generally get terrified walking through haunted houses, so move that house outside to a location that used to be a paint ball lot and is creepy to begin with and I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose my shiitake mushrooms. The Haunted Forest did not disappoint, and as you'll see in the video of our walk-through, left me calling out for my mom. Seriously.

It was the longest haunt I've ever gone through, taking us a little more than 20 harrowing minutes to get through. It also featured scenes from some classic horror movies, including Jason and a recreation of Camp Crystal Lake as well as the scary-ass chick from The Ring.

The video is a little dark because of the Forest's ambient lighting, which is all the better so we won't give too much of it away.

You can experience all the terror in person starting Thursday, and running every Wednesday through Sunday for the entire month of October. Get all the info you need right here.
