Hastings Liquidates- Las Cruces Store To Close By October 31st

Sad day for fans of the Hastings store in Las Cruces. The store will be closing for good.

Hastings Entertainment, a company based out of Amarillo, Texas, made the announcement earlier today that the company will be shutting down all of their stores for good.

According to the San Angelo Standard Times, Hilco Merchant Resources LLC and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners LLC co-purchased Hastings and have decided to liquidate all of the stores. The company's 126 stores will close by October 31st at the latest.

Stores will be able to have "Going Out Of Business" sales but each store can technically close whenever they choose. No word on the exact closing fate for the Las Cruces, NM location. Employees at the store will be given a 7 day notice if they are closing sooner than the October 31st deadline.
