It would appear that Green Day are going to keep fans up to speed on the progress of their new album via YouTube, as they have posted two more brief videos of their in-studio activities.

Green Day are all-in on the follow-up to their 2009 album ’21st Century Breakdown.’ The band engaged in months of writing new material for the release despite reportedly having upwards of 40 previously written ready for their next outing. Billie Joe Armstrong recently exclaimed at the end of the writing phase via Twitter, “Happy Valentine’s day! Officially started recording the new record today. It’s F— TIME!!!!”

Green Day have since posted three videos on their official YouTube channel, showing the band in and out of the studio. While the audio from the first video featured little more than an unaccompanied drum track, the second — mysteriously titled 6-13 — mixes in a of couple guitar strums as well.

The most intriguing moment comes in the third clip when Armstrong introduces the track ‘Amanda’ at a live show before breaking into it’s deep, bass-driven old school groove. Does this mean the fan fav will make it on to the new album? Check out the second and third clips below:
