Catholics take Good Friday seriously and so do these other seven as they were nailed to the cross today. Seven Filipino Roman Catholic devotees, including a woman, did a reenactment of Jesus Christ suffering on the cross.

TIME was there to witness it all and even record to show us how they partake in Good Friday. Since I was younger I always have done the Catholic traditions of giving something up for lent, church every Sunday so on and so forth. I know I wouldn't be able to hack getting nailed to a cross and just hanging there in pain. In case you weren't aware but Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross in order to pay for our sins. These seven definitely paid for their sins in my eyes after watching them go through this.

I give mad props to those seven who were willing to go through such a painful event when they didn't even have to.
