New Mexico Girl Named Isis Faces Bullying

A New Mexico girl has endured intense bullying in recent weeks because of her name — Isis.

The now-high-school-aged girl was named after the Egyptian goddess of the sky and nature after her mother said she heard it on a TV show and liked it. Her name is now, unfortunately, shared with the notorious terror group.

Isis Soriano-Logan is a junior at Cibola High School in Albuquerque and says she is constantly bullied at school because of her name.

She told KOB News, that fellow students say "Watch out, Isis is coming! Or they'll just laugh at it if the teacher says my name, they start laughing,"

She said graffiti targeting her was also sprayed onto the school in connection with her bullying.
