It was just another day for commuters, until they realized no one was driving their train!

A commuter train carrying 50 people left a stop in Boston and just kept going. The train passed through four stations without stopping while passengers in the lead car banged on the conductor's door. Imagine their shock when they found out there wasn't one!

The operator had work to do off the train and, while he did it, the train (or an impatient ghost) decided to leave. Power was gradually cut to the tracks' third rail, safely stopping the train. Some reports said a brake wasn't set correctly but, others said a cord had been rigged to hold the accelerator. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.

Panicked passengers tried to break out windows to escape once the train finally stopped but, luckily, no injuries were reported.
