Jacoby Shaddix had a pretty bad time earlier this year, when he had to have nodes removed from his vocal cords, which led to Papa Roach having to pull out of the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival. The band noticed something was wrong while in the studio, and everyone got really nervous when he wasn't able to perform like he normally could. He couldn't talk, which was one of the worst parts for him:

"It was a little tough in the beginning; I couldn't talk at all so that sucked. It was the longest silence of my life since I was born; I just wanted to talk so bad."

Check out this behind the scenes video into the time, which features visits from his band members, vocal coach Melissa Cross, the throat specialist who worked on him, and his wife. BTW, the video is NSFW.
