The nerd universe came together this past weekend at Comic Con in San Diego. Sadly, I wasn't able to attend but there's always next year right.

Well a couple of big things were announced at comic con that made us comic book freaks go crazy:

The first is that Marvel gave us the official title of the Avengers 2 movie. Writer/director Joss Whedon announced that the official title for the sequel to The Avengers will be Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Avengers: Age of Ultron is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters on May 1, 2015.

The other major and I mean MAJOR announcement that was made at comic con on Saturday was that Warner Brothers and DC Comics and director  Zach Snyder announced that there will be a sequel to the "Man of Steel" made. And Batman will be in it!

The new Batman is yet to be cast, but Snyder is currently co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. Production is expected to begin in 2014, with an anticipated release date in Summer 2015.
