Garbage Man Jailed for Picking up Trash Early

A garbage man in Atlanta was jailed for 30 days because he picked up trash too early. Kevin McGill was cited for picking up trash before 5 a.m. Chief prosecutor Bill Riley says he doesn't feel bad for seeking the maximum punishment for Mr. McGill, 30 days in jail.

According to the Riley, people start calling 911 when trashmen pick up too early. Garbage collection is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Shouldn't the people calling 911 be arrested for misuse of 911? What is the emergency?

Kevin McGill is going to serve out his sentence and do community service as a punishment.
