Tinder may let you swipe left or right, but it doesn't let you smell your potential new beau. This new app does.

Tired of Tinder swiping, Match.com matching and everything else in between?

There's a new New York app that is making rounds on the internet because of its unique way of identifying your new potential mate...

SMELL THEM.

That's right. Now you can find the new love of your life by sniffing them, and not in the entirely creepy way like stealing their clothes. Which I totally haven't done by the way.

A new matchmaking service in New York is promising to help singles looking for love by smelling potential new mates dirty T-shirts.

You read that right. Smell Dating is a new service that lets you breathe in the unique odor from a person's shirt.

The service was created by artist Tesa Brain, a teacher at New York's School for Poetic Computation and Sam Levigne, a researcher at New York University. The two came up with the idea through a art project based on pheromones. Pheromones are the chemical signals that all mammals use to attract potential mates.

Clients are sent a T-shirt to wear for three days without bathing. I know, it sounds gross and depending on the person and how sweaty they are it may be disgusting. The clients then send the "scent heavy" shirts back to the company where they cut it up and send the swatches out to potential mates.

Each client is given 10 different swatches to sniff and pick out. If two clients both like each other's smell, a match is made! The service is a one time fee of $25 and clients can be matched no matter the other person's gender, age or sexual orientation. You really are matching just by scent.

Right now, Smell Dating is only available in New York but you can find out more details at the Smell Dating website.
