Check out why they call Lincoln Park, El Paso's Chicano Park!

This past weekend people from all over the country gathered in El Paso for the Lincoln Park Celebration. This year was extra special since Txdot tried to knock down this historic building. Txdot said the demolition was needed in order to create a connecting path between I-10 and the Cesar Chavez Highway and they also cited safety issues with the building.

Organizers told me they would be upset if Txdot decide to tear down the building because there is so much history in that part of the city.

There is currently 43 murals in the park. Rebecca is the inspiration for the mural that is on one of the pillars.

There was plenty of low riders and beautiful women.

I really like the Chicano Art that is on the pillars underneath the roadways. This picture shows how important our freeway is to our community.

A new mural was created by the El Paso Community College's Art Student Society and is called "Chuco Culture." I kind of want this as a tattoo.

It wouldn't be a car show with all the Homies!

I had to take a video of the hot rides and let you hear the freestyle music that was being played.
