Whether you're a Trumpeteer or Feelin' the Bern, Monday, Feb. 1 is the last day for Texans to register to vote before the March 1 primaries.

To vote in both the Republican and Democratic primaries on March 1, you must first be registered. You can find out if you're registered here.

If you're not registered, there's still time! Fill out a registration application and drop it off at your county clerk's office.

While you do need an ID to actually vote, you don't need one to get yourself registered. To register, you just need to provide the last four digits of your Social Security number or driver's license or personal ID number.

You can register to vote if:

  • You are a United States citizen
  • You are a resident of the county where you submit the application
  • Are at least 18 years old on Election Day
  • You are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole)
  • You have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
