Family Shoots Home Intruder

Yep, you read that right. The entire family geared up and took on a burglar!

A family in Winter Haven, Florida were surprised Monday morning when an intruder, with a history of assault and domestic violence charges, broke in via a backdoor. 3 mmbers of the house armed themselves but, despite a warning shot being fired at him, the crook kept coming.

Several shots were fired with the fatal shot, apparently, coming from homeowner Luis Pena. According to a Huffington Post article, Police Chief Gary Hestor said:

"It’s not a very far reach to assume that if someone’s forcing their way into your residence early in the morning, they’re not there to wish you well.” “When he failed to retreat, they certainly... would have a right to defend themselves.”

Boy, did this idiot pick the wrong house.
