It just won't go away, and it's not completely lost its point. But, here is the latest in regards to the NFL and the National Anthem. Okay, well, let's backtrack a bit. Last week Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that his players would be required to stand up. And since then, many have wondered how the team would take that.

Well, we have our answer as Ezekiel Elliott has come out and said:

“US AS A TEAM, WE CHOSE TO STAND TOGETHER FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. IT WAS OUR DECISION. I THINK IT JUST SHOWS OUR CULTURE. IT SHOWS THAT WE HAVE UNITY. WE’RE GOING TO STAND AS ONE. THAT’S NOT KNOCKING ANYONE ELSE WHO MAY CHOOSE TO KNEEL DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. BUT WE’RE THE DALLAS FOOTBALL COWBOYS, AMERICA’S TEAM. WE STAND FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM.”

Of course, some people won't see the whole quote and will take what Elliott is saying as a knock on any player who chooses to kneel for the National Anthem. Oh, and you might see pictures like this pop up.

Please take note that this is not during the National Anthem. They have the flag rolled up behind him.

Oh, and in case you're wondered. No, I don't care if people stand of kneel for the National Anthem. To each their own. But I do want correct information to be passed along.
