I haven't seen any of these, but the reviews look very bleak.

Get Hard with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart gets a dismal 32% Critics Approval on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are calling it racist, homophobic and , worst of all, "not funny". Jon Niccum of the Kansas City Star writes, "Get Hard might be the perfect flick to show at your next frat party at the University of Oklahoma". Matt Zoller Seitz of RogerEbert.com says, "If you love rape jokes, this is the movie for you".

The new animated movie Home gets a slightly better but still disappointing Critics Rating of 43%. Rick Bentley of the Fresno Bee cites it's "feeble script, unlikeable characters and so-so animation". Barbara VanDenburgh writes in the Arizona Republic, " Lazy gags and it's been done better elsewhere." I'm starting to think Home is where I'll stay instead of going to the movies this weekend.

If you love Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence then you should love Serena. Not if you're the critics. It got a nauseating 21% Critics Approval on Rotten Tomatoes. RogerEbert.com calls it, "a flat out disaster". Stephanie Merry of the Washington Post calls it, "painful to watch". I won't then.

Isn't there a single new release to get excited about? There is, and from a very unlikely genre...horror.

It Follows is a horror movie that I hadn't heard anything about. Which is saying something considering my love of horror. I was delighted to read the more-than-enthusiastic reviews...95% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Detroit News, "creepiest movie in years".

Kansas City Star, "It horrifies. It disturbs. It rules."

Washington Post, "It Follows is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. It's also one of the most beautiful."

It follows that this will be the movie I go to see this weekend.
