This was beyond cover bands and songs. This was (nearly) a paranormal event staging Led Zeppelin\, because in the dim red and blue lights at Slim’s\, a lingering buzz from knocking back a few Sierra’s\, and the energy that ran through bodies electric\, I swear I saw them. On stage. Live. It started with a screening of “The Song Remains The Same” a concert/movie of Led Zeppelin’s tour in 1973 filmed in New York’s Madison Square Garden. Juxtaposed with the bellowing crowd filmed in New York\, the audience at at Slim’s lauded as the screen slowly lifed\, unveiling Led Zepagain. And then it happened. Once the first chord was stuck\, the first word sung\, you had no choice but to sing along. Resistance is futile. DESCRIPTION:An annual Mexican Food celebration with tons to do and plenty to enjoy!  We are inviting you to our annual fiesta- so come out and eat\, drink\, and celebrate- all that our culture has to offer!        Admission to the grounds is only $3.00 per person! You’ll be able to enjoy all of the competitions and a Latin Band to close out the show.    Come see a variety of restaurants and chefs compete for their shot of having the best Mexican Food in El Paso! We are inviting local restaurants\, chefs\, and regional restaurants\, to compete in the three plate challenge! The three categories of competition are Tacos\, Enchiladas\, and Open Dish.         Mariachis start at 4:30.     This isn’t just a food competition- it’s a Fiesta! A full line up of Mariachi’s will compete in the annual Rock N Roll Mariachi competition. Mariachis will play a traditional set and transform a great rock song and play it with a Mariachi twist! Coming back to the Mexican Food Cook Off is the Folkclorico Dance Championships! Four teams will compete- we’ll award the best three!    While you’re out there\, make sure to enjoy a taste of all our food vendors have to offer! TFCU food coins will be sold for only $2.00 each\, you can use these to buy all sorts of food from our vendors!
