Escape The El Paso Heat This Weekend At The BAMM Festival In Cloudcroft [VIDEO]

The BAMM Festival is happening in Cloudcroft this weekend!  Drive a couple of hours and lose about 20 degrees!!

So, what the hell is the BAMM Festival?  BAMM stands for Bad Ass Mountain Music and there will be PLENTY of that today and tomorrow!    Dusty Low, Memphis Strange from Austin, Bourbon Legend, Decade Of The Dead Arcade and a bunch more hit Cloudcroft this weekend.

Plus, there will be tons of vendors, plenty to eat and drink and a facial hair competition! (Damn, and Ronson just got all cleaned up yesterday.....)

According to the BAMM website,

facial hair categories include Mustaches, Beards, Goatees will be categorized by 'Natural' and 'Freestyle' and assigned further categories

Part of the money raised in the facial hair contest goes toward the BAMM scholarship fund and some goes to the Luna County Humane Society.

Sounds like fun and it will definitely be cool.  Cooler than here anyway, weather-wise Cloudcroft highs will (only) be 79 today and 83 tomorrow!!  Camping is free or grab a room at any of the area hotels.

To get there, take highway 54 north to Alamogordo.  From Alamo, take Highway 82 to Cloudcroft.  Ski Cloudcroft is where BAMM takes place, about 3 miles east of Cloudcroft.
