El Paso police say the man seen pulling a gun on a group of unruly young men at a Chico's Tacos in a video that has gone viral was probably within his right.

The incident reportedly happened at the Montwood location early Saturday morning (Feb. 24).

In the cell phone recording, which was posted by 915 on Blast and has surpassed 300,000 views since Sunday, several young men are seen being asked to leave the establishment by a couple of security guards.

Before walking out, one of them gets into a verbal altercation with a customer. One of the security guard quickly intervenes, and as the young man is being led towards the exit another customer is heard saying “get the f**k out of here” several times.

He’s then seen stepping up to the guy and going off on him. One of the other guys in the group makes a move towards him, leading the man to pull a handgun from his waistband. “Which one of you mother [expletive] wanna get rocked?” he asks.

KTSM spoke with the El Paso Police Department to see if any laws were broken and was told responding officers “found no evidence of a crime,” and that “the armed man may have been within his rights to draw his weapon.”
