So, you installed solar panels on your home because you want to help the environment and hopefully save a few bucks on your monthly electric bill? That's adorable, you naïve fool.

El Paso Electric is going to show you the error of your ways by charging you more for the electricity you do use.

"Ha!", said Ernie G. Watts, El Paso Electrics loveable anthropomorphic light bulb mascot. "You want to use less electricity, commie? We'll just raise your rates. Eff you, hippy!"

Okay, that's not what he actually said, but the real quote from EPEC CEO Tom Shockley is every bit as equally comical. "The issue is not whether we support solar energy, because we have a proven track record there."  That's funny partially because, suuuuure you support solar energy ... but mostly because the CEO of the electric company is a guy named Tom SHOCKLEY!  Shockley? Get it? That's like if a cake-maker were named Ms. Baker or if your proctologist were Dr. Buttfingerson.

Some days, these blogs just write themselves, people.
