131,000 El Pasoans...that's 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 3 children...are hungry. So, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger have arranged their 12th annual Empty Bowls El Paso fundraiser.

According to their facebook page:

Potters and other craftspeople work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. Guests are invited to a simple meal of soup and macaroni and cheese prepared by 16 of El Paso’s finest restaurants. Guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community.

It happens Saturday, April 9th, at the EPCC Administrative Services Center, 9050 Viscount. Tickets are $25. ($15 for seniors 65+, active duty military, students and kids 6-12.) Advance tickets available at select area Crickett locations and Foliage Salon and Spa. For more info, call (915) 298 - 0353.

EPFH is El Paso’s only food bank and non-profit charity, serving 99,000 food insecure individuals and distributing over 9 million pounds of food a year.
