El Paso's final four Blockbuster stores have rented their last movie and closed their doors for good.

Border Entertainment LLC owns the four Blockbuster stores in El Paso and announced earlier today that they would be closing all four locations. Regular business for these stores ended on Sunday and the stores will be closed until Saturday. On Saturday, April 2nd starting at noon, the stores will reopen for their final closing sales. Everything in the stores will be sold at discounted prices, and the sale will continue until all the inventory is sold.

According to Alan Payne, owner of Border Entertainment LLC, said that each store has about 15,000 units of inventory that includes video games, Blu-rays, DVDS and more. Payne believes that customers have "changed how they watch movies" and this has caused sales to decline in the four remaining stores. Other Blockbuster stores around the country had already closed, but the four Borderland stores stayed open after. The four remaining Blockbuster stores are located at:

10501 Gateway Blvd. West
6135 North Mesa Street
10765 Kenworthy Street
1796 North Zaragoza Road.

Payne has invited customers to return to the stores so they can thank them for the 24 years of business and buy any movies or games that they want to keep.
