Fred Loya Christmas Light Show – The nine minute holiday light show features over 230,000 lights synchronized to music. Showtimes are 6, 7, and 8 p.m. Mr. Loya’s house is located on the East side at 120001 Paseo de Oro, one block north of Montwood, off Bob Mitchell. Free. More Details.

Horse Racing – The live horse racing season is underway at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. Post time is 12:15 p.m. Free general admission and parking. More Details

Friday at the Fire – Line Dancing Night with DJ Darrin against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing outdoor fireplace. 6- 11 p.m. Free.

El Paso Playhouse 'Best Christmas Pageant Ever' – El Paso Playhouse presents the holiday play ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’. 8 p.m. at the El Paso Playhouse, 2501 Montana. Tickets are $10, $7 military/students with ID. More Details

SATURDAY:

Luminarias & Posada Festival – 5,000 luminarias will light the Mission Trail along Socorro Road in San Elizario beginning at dusk. The 8 mile route begins at the Ysleta Mission and ends in the San Eli Plaza and includes all three Mission Trail churches. 4:30 to 11 p.m. Free. More Details

Wyler Aerial Tramway Hosts Santa – Spend the afternoon with Santa at the Wyler Aerial Tramway and have your photo taken with him from high atop Ranger Peak. Noon to 7 p.m. at The Wyler Aerial Tramway State Park, 1700 McKinley. Entrance is free, Tramway tickets $8. More Details
