Here’s what’s going on in and around El Paso this weekend, November 22 – November 24. Some events are free, some will cost you a few bucks:

FRIDAY:

Decades Dance Party at the Holiday Inn Airport – Dance your way through the decades with music from the ’50s to today’s best dance music! Live music from PRIME, plus DJ’s in spinning parly music from all of the decades! 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Airport, 6655 Gateway West. Tickets $15.00, two for $25, slightly more at the door. Overnight room packages also available. More Details

Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference Student Showcase Concert – Selected groups and individual vocalists from the more than 750 student mariachi groups, vocalists, and folkloric dancers who attend the 20th annual conference will perform. 7:30 p.m. at Pan American Center. Tickets are $10; discounts available. More Details

El Paso Rhinos Hockey – El Paso’s Junior League ice hockey team hosts the Texas Jr. Brahmas. 7:30 p.m. at the Sierra Providence Events Center, next to the Coliseum, 4100 E. Paisano. Ticket prices vary. More Details

Friday at the Fire – Live music by local bands set against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing outdoor fireplace. 6- 11 p.m. Free. Tonight, the Trailer Band, 7 p.m. DJ Darrin kicks the night off at 6 p.m.

Downtown Ghost Tour – El Paso Ghost Tours will take you inside downtown’s most haunted and historical buildings and conduct full paranormal investigations. Two walking tours, 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Meet at Leo’s Mexican Restaurant, 315 E Mills Ave. Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door, discounts available. More Details

El Paso Symphony Orchestra ‘La Danza Clasica’ – Guest Peter Soave performs with The Symphony. Soave is recognized worldwide as the foremost master of the bandoneon and concert accordion. 7:30 p.m. in the Plaza Theatre. Tickets prices vary. More Details

UTEP Basketball Battle of I-10 Rematch – The men’s team hosts the NMSU Aggies. 7 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center. Ticket prices vary. More Details

Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference ‘Spectacular Concert’ – International recording artist Paquita de la Barrio and Mariachi Tapatio, with Mariachi Cobre and 11-year-old “America’s Got Talent” alum Sebastian “El Charro de Oro’ de la Cruz perform. 7:30 p.m. at Pan American Center. Holiday of Heroes Tree Lighting Celebration – Christmas event featuring live holiday music, a visit from Santa and his elves, the Salvation Army Band and an animated tree lighting show. 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on the promenade at Freedom Crossing on Ft. Bliss. Free. Open to the public. More Details

Farmer’s Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The annual “producers only” market featuring area farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans selling organic and pesticide-free vegetables, locally-made goat cheeses, natural free range chickens and eggs, native plants for home and yard, fresh-baked breads and salsas.
